ClickBIM Privacy Notice

Who is responsible
ClickBIM is operated by Teodor Ciobanu. Contact address: 725 Sunburst Cove Ln., Winter Garden, FL 34787, United States. For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email support@clickbim.com.
Licensing and product protection
We use your email, licence and subscription details, device identifier and name, activation history and validation times to provide licences, enforce device limits, prevent repeat trials and support recovery. Trial requests also include software versions; company and contact names are optional.
The device identifier is derived locally from device characteristics. It is linked to licensing records and is not anonymous. We do not receive your Revit model through licence checks. Required licensing information is necessary to activate the product; withholding it may prevent activation.
Support and error reports
Sending a report is your choice. In ClickBIM 1.3.02 and later, you can omit technical diagnostics and review the information before sending. An optional reply email lets us respond if a licensed account email is unavailable. Diagnostics can include the error, stack trace, failed operation, time, ClickBIM and Revit versions, and operating-system/runtime versions.
We attempt to remove secrets and sensitive paths, but automatic redaction cannot detect everything. Do not include confidential project information. No model file is automatically attached. Your licence credential may be used to find your support account; the report email contains an account reference and reply address rather than that credential.
Reports are processed by our service and sent through Resend to our support mailbox in Gmail. We no longer save new message copies—including bodies, subjects, sender/recipient addresses, attachment details and report content—in the admin database. We keep content-free delivery receipts to track outcomes and prevent duplicate forwarding. Licence-account contact details are retained separately. Ordinary emails and attachments you choose to send are also processed for support. ClickBIM 1.3.02 and later do not send automatic installation reports. Older versions may still transmit them; the updated service accepts them without storing or emailing their contents.
Website, communications and security
We use inquiry details to answer requests. Hosting and email services receive connection information, including network addresses, for delivery, security and abuse prevention. Essential licence and support messages are separate from optional release announcements.
From ClickBIM 1.3.04, startup and manual update checks request public release information from our service. These checks send no model, licence credential or device identifier; hosting receives connection information. Automatic installation is off by default and can be enabled in plugin settings. Installation waits until all Revit windows close.
A licence purchase or trial does not subscribe you to release announcements. Where you explicitly opted in, optional announcements include an unsubscribe link; you may also reply “unsubscribe” or contact support. A hashed email reference and limited preference, delivery-suppression and announcement-attempt records help honour opt-outs and prevent repeated messages. These records contain no message bodies. Unsubscribing does not stop essential licence, security or support messages. Administrator sign-in uses necessary session cookies. Administrators can edit website content; public pages display those published edits.
Providers and overseas processing
We use Amazon Web Services for hosting and our database, Resend for email delivery/receipt, and Google for the support mailbox. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where these providers operate. Overseas processing can involve different privacy laws. Contact us with questions about these arrangements or to exercise applicable privacy rights.
Retention and protection
We retain information only for the relevant service, support, security and legal purposes. Licence and limited trial-abuse records may outlast a support case. Historical email copies saved before this change remain subject to reviewed cleanup. Gmail, Resend and backups require separate retention controls; removing the admin mailbox does not erase those copies.
Our retention policy sets a 90-day review threshold for eligible completed support diagnostics and a 30-day review threshold for network addresses in audit records. Removal is reviewed, not automatic. Unresolved cases, pending deliveries, security investigations and legal holds may require longer retention. These thresholds do not delete licences or activation history and do not automatically erase copies held by email providers or backups.
We restrict access and apply security measures appropriate to the information. No system is completely secure. Please report suspected privacy or security incidents to support@clickbim.com.
Your choices and rights
Contact support to request access or correction, ask about retention, object to optional processing, or request deletion where applicable. We may verify your identity proportionately. Some records may need to be retained for legal or justified security purposes; we will explain applicable limits.
You can raise a concern with us and, where applicable, with the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, or your local privacy authority. Rights and deadlines depend on the law that applies to you.
Changes
We will update this notice when practices change and provide additional notice where required. Installing an update does not grant blanket permission for new optional data collection.
